Stimulating, emotional, fantastic Modern Romance! 5A*!
Tillie thought, ‘Was it actually possible to have eyes that unusual shade of blue? A light greyish blue with a dark outline around the iris. His hair was a rich dark brown , his skin was olive toned and tanned, he was tall, so tall he had to stoop, as he stalked into the bakery shop and something zapped her in the chest like a Taser beam.’ ’I hope I don’t have to dislocate my neck to maintain eye contact!’ ‘It was his mouth too that drew her eyes to the top lip that was sculpted and it seemed he knew as it were, all about sensuality’. Tillie on the other hand had chestnut hair, pale complexion with brown eyes. She asked him, ’The usual?’ Blake replied, ’Not today’, in his rich dark honey and gravel voice with his eyes twinkling, he said, ’I’m abstaining from temptation just this once’. Then he continued,’Pretend to be my fiancée for the next month and I’ll take care of those debts for you’. Tillie retorted, ’Pretend to be your….what?’ ‘Are you out of your mind? Pretend to be engaged to you?’'Do it. Don’t .Do it. Don’t . But another part ---a secret, private part ---wanted him. Wanted him.’
Look out for the humour in the following statement! ‘I don’t want to be run out of town by a bunch of villagers wielding baseball bats’. Blake said, in his deep voice,’Just for the record I always get what I want’.’His eyes did that twinkling, glinting thing.’ ‘He was a handsome devil no doubt.’ Whereas Blake thought 'she was feisty, quick-witted, sharp –tongued woman with a body as delectable as the cakes in her shop.' 'She was unique and refreshing with those flashing nutmeg brown eyes who had an adorable little Cupid’s bow mouth’.’ Blake was Potent. Powerful. Sexy.’ ‘She would resist him as she had the willpower, the discipline and self control.’
The romantic reader will have their interest aroused within a couple of pages at the start of chapter one, because of the linguistic style the writer has employed and used to great effect! There are plenty of incidents between Blake and Tillie that calls forth retort, sarcasm, sparring, wit and ironical statements which will cause the readers to laugh outright or chuckle! Blake’s mannerisms, gestures, economy of movements, quirking of the eyebrows are all there to attract the heroine and the women readers too! The storyline is gripping and entices one to read the story in one go! It all ends happily and it is worth it to escape from the harsh realities of the modern society! This fantasy is worth keeping in any format either in a kindle or in a paperback form! Brilliant !

Scorching, emotional, enthralling Modern genre! 5A* undoubtedly!

‘Dario had certainly made an impression on Megan.’ ‘He was staggeringly handsome; his bold ice-blue, heated gaze had raked over her when they’d been introduced by her father.’ ’The man was not just tall, dark and handsome, but also extremely dangerous-----to her peace of mind’.’Dario, whom she even on their brief acquaintance suspected was as ruthless with women as he was in his business dealings.’ ’At five –foot-five and with the lush curves Megan had felt like an over-endowed pixie next to the slim, stunning women he usually dated’.’He’s rich, arrogant and scarily gorgeous’.’He possessed a deep masculine voice’.’And dad expects me to seduce him’. ‘Because she’d either be in his bed or in a prison cell’. ’Dario De Rossi looked up from adjusting his cuffs, his crystal-blue eyes locking on her face and sending a sizzle of electric energy through her body’.’The man looked devastating in a tux. It emphasized the magnificent width of his shoulders, the leanness of his waist and the length of his legs’.’His English was so perfect, with only the slightest hint of his Italian heritage. His deep husky rumble of his voice skated over her as she drew level with him and glimpsed at the dark flash of hunger in his eyes’.’Relax cara mia,’ as his rough chuckle scraped across her nerve-endings’.’His lips quirked ’You are very beautiful in your own unique way’. 'He focused on her mouth, and a soft indrawn breath escaped at the hunger in his eyes’. ‘The colour of your hair reminds me of a naked flame and I wonder if you’re as fiery in bed? let’s get you to the ball, Cinderella’.’Strangely he remembered, her from a month ago her deep intense green eyes, that had captivated him, but only for a moment, as she had ducked her head.’ ’Her hunger for him was as real as his’. His decision was made. ‘Playing with fire it is, then’.’Get in the car, Megan,’ he murmured, his voice deep with purpose.’ ’I promise you, I have no intention of destroying your father’s company. Now get in the car’.’He had become spellbound by his own lust’.’Her blunt honesty was ridiculously charming, especially when she blushed’.’No wonder this woman was so damn captivating’.’Her delightfully gauche statement had him throwing back his head and laughing out loud for the first time in, longer than he could remember’.’It had made her feel special’.’ Damn what do you do to me, piccolo?’’The deep blue of his irises seemed to sparkle just for her when he said it’.
Heidi Rice has used her creative writing skills and imagination to spin a fairy tale where the demon monsters existing in the mind is slayed by innocence, trust and love which can be mistaken for lust on certain occasions. The sarcasm, witticism, sparring used by Dario and Megan are spellbinding and brings about plenty of chuckles for the readers! It has an engaging plot that becomes a compulsive page turner. By the end of the story their personal issues are solved magically and we all know and believe they will live happily- ever -after’. A brilliant Modern genre to keep in the home in any format!

Arresting, dramatic and stimulating Modern genre romance! 4*!

The events and conversations, the dialogue, the sparring and sarcasm that ensues when the ‘lovers’ are together is combustible and full of innuendoes which are sensational! Read on……
‘Ramon’s dark hair was cut short, but had a tendency to spike on top.’ ’He was clean shaven, had spectacularly handsome features, angular without being rugged.’ ’His Sauveterre eyes were green when they were amused and gray when they were not’.’His sensuous mouth sat in a flat line’.’His lethal tone cut her in half, sending a burst of adrenaline through her.’ ‘He really was too beautiful.’ ‘Why aren’t you doing your job?’ ’I’m doing it now .If you weren’t interrupting me, I could get on with it’. ‘Arrange a press conference; I’m announcing my retirement from racing’. ‘He stole an appreciative glance to her auburn brows which framed warm brown eyes, with her gold-tipped lashes which were thick and lush’. ‘Her glossy hair had turned to a rich burgundy wine, and had honey-toned cheekbones and wore little makeup.’ ’Her years of doe-eyed hero worship had reflected yearnings and expectations Ramon could never fulfill’. Nonetheless, ‘She was breathtaking’.’I’ll hand in my resignation by the end of the day’.’For one heartbeat the world around him faded’.’Her antipathy ran that deep?’ he mused. Ramon retorted,’ I will make your life extremely difficult if you walk out of here’. He continued, ‘Mind your manners or you will discover exactly what kind of man I am’. ‘He was the arrogant, heartless tyrant’.’Oh this rat wasn’t content to threaten her job but was also ready to break her heart’.’I will never forgive you for this’.’You’re ruining my life’ was her sharp answer. ‘I am not marrying you.’ ’Why are you such a horrible person, Ramon?’’Aside from his incredible devotion to his family and his unbending will to win, his brilliant intelligence and unwavering confidence there was little else to like about him!’ ’Dios , there really was no ignoring how lovely she was’. Isidora pasted on a smile as fake as her engagement and allowed Ramon the Rat to take possession of her life’.
The title will indicate that it is a family story of circles within circles about filial love, loyalty and trust. All that is very inspiring to depend on one’s families! However, the template of Modern genre is power, passion and irresistible temptation! It is more enhanced when it concentrates on the main characters, the hero and the heroine, who in this book three, is Ramon and Isidora. The moment they are in contact with each other the story line picks up sharply and wow it becomes something combustible and a compelling page turner! Unfortunately very soon other characters intrude into the plot! The attention span then flags! And from then on the storyline goes up and down till the issues are resolved, which is not till one reaches the very end of the story! Good on the whole if one engages only with Ramon and Isidora!

Simply Unmissable, stimulating, impeccable Modern genre Romance! 5 A* no question!

‘The darkest brown eyes set in the most handsome face Francesca had ever seen, stared back at her.’ ’You must be Francesca’. Felipe Lorenzi spoke with a heavy English accent and from firm, generous lips that didn’t even hint at a smile’. ‘This man had a headful of thick hair that was darker even than his eyes’.’He raised a brow.’ ’Were you expecting someone else?’ ‘His face was intensely, masculinely beautiful though battle-hardened.’ ‘He had an aura of danger about him that sent thrills racing through her bloodstream’. ‘Felipe hadn’t expected her to be so truculently sexy in tight ripped jeans’.’Her height was the only thing average about her.’ ‘Everything else about her was extraordinary from the sheet of glossy black hair, the wide, kissable lips and clear olive skin.’ ’She spoke in impeccable English,’ ’Just so we’re clear, you work for me’. ‘There was a definite challenge in that husky tone.’
Follow this conversation which will bring out the sarcasm in their dialogue! ‘How old are you?’’I’m twenty-three’.’Almost an old woman’, he mocked.’ She retorted, ’I might be young but I am not stupid. You don’t need to patronise me’. Felipe replied quickly enough, ’Look at yourself .You’re young, rich and beautiful. You’re a woman’.’She stared at him with eyes that spat fire’.’Take your things and get off the plane. I hired you to protect me and not babysit for me. I’m terminating our contract’. To which, ‘he gave a nonchalant yawn. Dios he was tired.’ ’Her answering glare could have curdled milk’.’Who cared if he had a face that could make a heart melt and a physique that screamed sex appeal?’ ‘He was still an arrogant tyrant’.’Felipe thought Francesca could be Aphrodite and still he would keep his distance’.’The more Francesca looked at him, the more she wanted to look. He really was heavenly to look at’.’Felipe was the sexiest man she’d ever laid eyes on’. ’Should I arm myself with a feather duster to protect you?’’Only when they were airborne did he put the gun back in his inside pocket’.’Put your seat belt back on.’ she mimicked under her breath.’ ’Don’t do this, don’t do that, just do exactly as I say’. He stared hard at her angry face.’You need to stop acting like a brat’.’One day in Francesca Pellegrini’s company and he was ready to punch walls’.’She’d been imagining inflicting pain on Felipe Lorenzi, who was horrible, arrogant and a patronizing man’. While he on the other hand, was thinking how he would cope for a week, in her company, without either throttling her or bedding her.’ ’It was that damned woman in the suite next door who was the cause of it’.’You’re my client. There can be nothing between us. Do you understand that?’
Suffice to say that Michelle Smart has the creative skill to generate instant enticing attention of the romantic readers to go deep into the dramatic start of the story. The linguistic styles go a long way to make the story a compelling page turner till the very end of the fairy tale! The billionaire tycoon with his economy of gestures and movements will sweep the readers into a world of fantasy and make them chuckle and enjoy all the fun and pleasure of that exclusive life which readers can only dream of! Stupendous, brilliant start to the trilogy! Go for it now in any format!

Realistic and yet gripping, emotional, fascinating, compelling page turner! 5A* indeed!

‘From across the room Allegra saw a flash of amber eyes, a wing of ink-black hair, that was definitely noticeable, and he was devastatingly attractive , inappropriately masculine, tall, muscular, radiating energy , vitality and yet was seductively compelling.’ ’Are you hiding?’ ‘His voice was low, melodious and masculine.’ ’He was standing there like a handsome prince from a fairy-tale except there was something a little too wicked about the glint in his eye.’ ‘Him’. ‘He really was amazingly good-looking-dark hair cut slightly, rakishly long, glinting amber eyes, a strong jaw with a hint of sexy stubble’.’The look of sleepy speculation in the man’s eyes made her skin prickle, it was like a caress.’ On the other hand, ‘Rafael didn’t know who this beguiling woman was, but he was captivated by her cloud of Titan curls, the wide, grey eyes, that were as clear as mirrors reflecting her emotions of sorrow, weariness and grief.’ ’She was utterly lovely, from her silver-grey eyes to her pert nose, lush mouth, her porcelain, pale and creamy skin with a scattering of red-gold freckles’.’Primal need blazed through him. She just inflamed him’.’Tell me what your favourite piece of music is.’ ’She smiled and it was like a ray of sunlight on his soul, disconcertingly bright, reaching too many dark corners in him yet it was just a smile.’’ He reached for her hand , pulling her gently towards him and his fingers closed around hers.’ ’There was only one woman he wanted in the wake and he was holding her hand.’ ‘You have the most enchanting smile’.’Rafael was still holding her hand, his smile was slow and sensual as a river of honey trickling through her’.’She thought what kind of woman followed a strange, sexy man up to his penthouse suite?’Rafael said to her, ‘You are so beautiful and lovely.’ ‘While she thought ‘he was a work of beauty.’ ‘Allegra,’ Rafael asked hoarsely, turning to stare down into her pale, lovely face, ’Who are you?’’I’m Alberto Mancini’s daughter.’ ‘The daughter of his enemy, his nemesis.’ ‘His voice was brusque, ’You should go ‘.’We had a one-night stand. It’s over.’ ’Goodbye’, she said, her voice soft, sad and proud all at once and then she was gone.’
Yes, those descriptive sentences, adjectives describe the winsome beauty of Allegra and the sheer handsomeness of the tycoon/billionaire Rafael! His acts of tenderness for her are admirable! There are plenty of instances where the linguistic styles of sparring, sarcasm, irony comes into effect. The peep into the life style of the super rich is one of joy and happiness for those of us who believe in the magic of love! It is a beautiful story crafted by no less than a creative writer like Kate Hewitt! She spins a fairy tale and the charm is spread all around her fans and the romantic circles around the globe. Brilliant and a must buy in any format!

Gripping, sensual, emotional Modern genre! 4*

‘Bastiano Conti’s deep voice snapped her to attention as she had just been caught daydreaming by an important guest in his own suite’. When he looked at her, ‘she mesmerised him’ totally. ’The eyes that met his were very dark brown.’ ‘She was as slender as a blade and he saw that her thick black hair was worn up in a messy bun ‘.’Her eyes were amber and she squeezed her eyes closed when he caught her in his embrace.’ ’Bastiano had a reputation for cold-hearted ruthlessness that ran from the boardroom to the bedroom’.’He was stunningly attractive’.’He had a deep, low laugh that was almost enough of a reward’, in itself. ’Bastiano was exquisite’.’He was male beauty personified with a visceral undercurrent that finally matched hers.’ ’Sophie said to him that ‘I have been saving –myself for a time and a person of my choosing’.’She assumed him to be the kindest, most thoughtful person , Bastiano realised and he chose not to enlighten her’.’I wanted you to remember me when you came into this suite’. He drawled, ‘I don’t need a view to remember you’.
The above comments and quotes will whet the appetite of romantic readers to read on as to what happens next. The conversation, dialogue, sparring, sarcasm, are all used effectively to make the plot engaging. Bastiano does reveal his attraction for Sophie quite openly but Sophie is shy and independent and does not reciprocate easily! What does make it a bit confusing is that the storyline gets spiralled into circles within circles with relationships. That can distract the readers to concentrate on the problems and issues of Sophie and Bastiano Conti! Good otherwise.

Engrossing, emotional, fascinating love affair, must buy, must read masterpiece by a Classic writer! 5A* indeed!
The story is unusual as it is a love affair between a husband and wife with strong chemistry between them and an attraction that cannot be forgotten though fate has ‘acted’ strangely and cruelly between them to cause barriers and mistrust which seems insurmountable! Joanna was still however ‘stunning ‘, ‘tall and slim with that curvaceous figure, that sexy riot of sun-streaked curled hair about her shoulders met his startled gaze with her wary violet eyes.’ ‘She couldn’t help noticing that Matt had lost weight and yet was the sexiest man she’d ever known.’ ’There was a brooding sensuality about his dark countenance that had always caused a pleasurable buzz inside her’.’Jo?’ he said, his deep voice scraping like sandpaper over her tortured nerves.’ ‘How good of you to come’.’Was that sarcasm in his voice?’’Matt watching her, couldn’t help noticing how silky her hair was and how soft her skin used to feel under his touch’. ’Whatever had gone before, he was sorry that they’d been living apart.’ Though estranged, there was ‘that magnetic appeal of Matt’ which Jo could not overlook!’She’d known the attraction she’d always had for him hadn’t gone away.’ ‘While Matt thought his wife was so beautiful, her streaked blonde curls shone like gold, her eyes were wide and her twin orbs of a deep blue was surrounded by long darkened lashes.’ ‘He did look a little weary, however, he was still a disturbingly handsome man’. She tried to get her head around the idea that Matt was going to give up his position of running NovCo ! ‘I always thought it was your life.’ ‘Matt’s dark gaze was compelling, as he said, ‘you were my life’.
Anne Mather has taken narrative writing to the nth level of greatness which is like reading a mini novel! The emotional conflict between a husband and wife has been portrayed so beautifully and tenderly! There is no intrusive extraneous detail so the reader’s attention is engaged and focused on the events that unravel before one’s mind. Matt and Jo do come together as it is a fairy tale that comes true to life and one can ruminate happily after the last line has been read! Stupendous and superb!

Enthralling, lovely, sensual Modern genre Romance! 5A* undoubtedly!
‘Poppy would recognise Sebastiano anywhere ofcourse. Powerful.Untamed. Stunningly good-looking. He raked a hand through his hair, mussing it into untidy black waves. He was tall, muscular with piercing, brilliant green eyes and was an eye-candy extraordinaire.’ ’Sebastiano was the most superb specimen of a man she had ever come across. The air of power that he carried on him was like an invisible warning for others who dared to take him on’ ’His lips were firm and chiselled without seeming hard’. As he sensed her presence and silent perusal he asked, ‘Who the hell are you?’ ‘His frown deepened as he looked her up and down again’.’I’m an intern. Poppy Connolly. I work for you’. She made his coffee and then inadvertently spilled it on him. That resulted in him changing his shirt and tie and so she offered to help him tie the knot.’ ‘He was tall, well over six feet and she had to rise onto her toes to position the knot of the necktie in the centre of his throat’.’If you do happen to get a job here, don’t ever hand me a call without first finding out who it is’. ‘Poppy pursed her lips, ’not even if the person is crying?’ ‘Especially if the person is crying’.’ His gaze flitted over her face, his green eyes hot and hungry.’. ‘He was gobsmacked from the first moment he’d seen her standing in his doorway. He’d been thrown by those velvet-blue eyes staring at him with no artifice in them at all’. ‘Poppy’s figure was glorious: slim hips, a thick pile of ash-brown hair, pulled into a high ponytail, revealing a slender neck with sweet rosebud lips’.’There was something about her that was at once innocent and impish. And hot.’ ’You said something to my grandfather that suggested we are a couple’.’So what is your price to accompany me to visit them for celebrating their sixtieth wedding anniversary?’ ‘Five hundred thousand pounds? She felt a little drunk at the thought of all that money. She stood up. ‘I...I can’t take your money’.’I’m not a prostitute’.’Are you seriously turning me down because it doesn’t feel right?’’I’m not for sale Mr Castiglione’, she retorted.
Michelle Conder has an inimitable style of writing which casts a spell on those who are romantic at heart! Her billionaire tycoons are to –die-for with their life style, gestures, economy of movements, their domineering presence which often betrays love and deep seated attraction which charms the heroines and in this story it is Sebastiano and Poppy ! They exercise power between them at different times and in different ways, display passion to each other and temptation is apparent whenever they are in each other’s presence! The verbal sparring, dialogue, conversation is scintillating and will bring about plenty of chuckles whilst reading! A brilliant story worthy to be kept in any format either as a paperback or in a kindle. Excellent!

Dramatic, exciting and emotional Modern genre! 5*!

Prince Felipe and Princess Briar /Talia are a very attractive couple indeed. Their attraction for each other is combustible and engrossing. One would expect them to go up in flames! However, one has to comment on their physical attributes from the very beginning of the story! ‘He was looking at her and a slow smile spread over his face when he saw that she was looking at him’. She found him attractive and eye-catching with his ,‘Dark hair which was pushed back from his forehead, there was the dark stubble on his jaw, and the expression in his eyes, suggested that he was privy to a host of secrets’. ‘He was beautiful’. ‘Are you running away from me?’’You seemed to be walking quickly and with purpose’. To Briar, ‘his voice with an accent may be Spanish sounded so sexy.’ ’He was stunning up close and smiled, revealing perfect teeth’ .He started to look at her and found her to be ‘tall’ which was a refreshing thing for him as he was at least five inches taller than her height. Felipe said to her, ’You’re far too beautiful to walk around alone’.’Wait!’She didn’t.’She felt disembodied as she was knocked down by a taxi. ’How long was I asleep?’’You were unconscious only for an hour or so’. ’No I am not delivering you to my father’.’You will be mine’. She retorted, 'I’m not your fiancée, I’m a kidnap victim? And I have to marry a monster!’’That is ridiculous!’ He replied, ’I am however announcing our engagement tomorrow and you will not go against me’.’He smiled and he would do well to charm her’. The prince leaned in slightly and said to her, ’You must work at looking as though my touch doesn’t disgust you’.’You look beautiful,’ he said to her with a glint in those dark eyes and with a slight quirk of his full mouth’. And the readers are not to forget that he had charmed her totally with ‘the perfection of those broad shoulders, the exquisitely sculpted face that was a work of art all on its own’.
Maisey Yates has spun a fairy tale story of a monster who can be tamed by an attractive princess who has a charming personality of her own with plenty of brimstone as well! There are various linguistic styles employed such a irony, sarcasm, wit, pun to make the story line interesting and fun! The plot thickens as each event unfolds so that by the end of the story it comes to a brilliant end! Go for it !

Fascinating, stimulating, engrossing fairy- tale- like Modern genre Romance! 5A*!

Daniele ‘was a handsome man. However Eva, found nothing to like or admire about him’. ‘His redeeming features were his looks and physique and the size of his bank account’.’He’d shrugged his broad shoulders but without the ready smile she remembered from their ‘date’.’’How could such a hateful, arrogant man be so blessed?’’And he had the most beautiful eyes, an indecipherable browny-green eyes, staring intently into hers.’ ‘Daniele then thought of his last date. The only date he’d been on that hadn’t ended in the bedroom’.’Eva Bergen was possibly the most beautiful and definitely the sexiest woman he’d met in his thirty-three years and she hated his guts.’ ‘Eva knew who he was.’ ‘The deep, rich tones and heavy accent was none other than that of Daniele Pellegrini.’ ‘He looked and smelled too good and his easy, stomach –melting smile was back in its place.’ ’Standing before this beautifully smelling, impossibly handsome man made her feel like a ragged urchin’.’What I want is to get on my jet and fly away but what I need is a wife, and you, tesoro, are the perfect woman for the job.’ ’You are despicable, do you know that? And for the record, I am not your darling!’’Why would you want to marry me?’’A tight smile played on his lips. ’It’s nothing to do with want. It’s to do with need. I need a wife’.’I don’t want to marry someone who’s going to fall in love with me’. ‘Daniele was too attractive, too masculine, smelled too good’. To him, Eva looked incredibly beautiful, ethereal and yet substantial. He would kiss every part of that creamy skin beginning with her pink, sensual lips.’ ‘Tomorrow night you get to share my bed’.’With that happy thought I bid you good night. See you at the chapel, tesoro’.’We’re together now,’ his look said. ’This is it. You and I’.

Scorching, enthralling, exciting masterpiece, a must buy Romance! 5A*undoubtedly!

Max, ‘a multimillionaire financier at twenty-eight had grown into a striking man with olive-toned skin, spectacular bone structure and a hard, challenging gaze. His eyes were black-lashed dark and flaring bright as topaz in the firelight.’ ‘While Tia raised in a convent had the innocence and purity of an angel! She brushed out her thick honey-blonde hair to let it dry loose.’ ’She was a soft touch and unashamed of the fact.’ Max’s mind went momentarily blank as a young woman of quite extraordinary beauty tumbled through the door with her great mass of honey-blonde hair round her heart-shaped face, high cheekbones, cornflower –blue eyes and a perfect pouty little mouth. Her skin was flawless too.’ On the other hand Tia herself was struck by the beauty of Max!’He literally took her breath away. He had one of those Renaissance faces she had seen illustrated in manuscripts.’ He had ‘smooth bronze skin, a straight masculine nose, a wide sensual mouth and eyes as dark and rich as chocolate.’ ‘He. Was. Gorgeous.’ ’Tia was quite astonished by his height of over six feet tall and she only passed five feet by two inches’. ‘He was all lean, muscular power and energy.’ Max was observing her and thinking to himself that ‘Tia was a classic, unspoilt and utterly a natural beauty’.’Max smiled at her, dark eyes mesmerising below the thick veil of his lashes and immediately butterflies danced in her stomach!’’The dark rich tenor of his voice shimmed up and down Tia’s spine like a caress’.’Tia was attracted to him so was he! She was beautiful, kind and understanding’.’This is the hotel?’’Yes’, a dancing smile slashed Max’s beautifully shaped mouth, his dark as night eyes gleaming.’ ‘I thought you would enjoy it’.’There she was: his beautiful downfall, the film-star beauty ruffled but no less appealing.’
Romantic readers need to read on as it is a spectacular page turner because there is something eventful happening at every twist and turn, in the events of the story. There is never a dull moment! The plot is engaging, not too many characters and both Max and Tia develop and grow into love for each other and the story line ends on a happy- ever- after fairy tale! There are plenty of sarcasm, sparring, acts of rebellion and then all is well that ends well! An unmissable Romance to be read at one go! Stupendous, truly Classical style of writing by a renowned genius like Lynne Graham!

Fantastic, sheer delight, compelling page turner! 5* indeed!

‘Katy looked less like a computer whizz-kid and more like a hippy. However she had the sort of multi-coloured coppery hair, an elfin face with enormous , beguiling mix of bright-green and turquoise eyes, her creamy complexion was free of freckles, had absurdly prettiness, that was more dramatic because she seemed so unaware of it that held Lucas’s gaze for reasons he couldn’t begin to fathom.’ ‘She was only five –three so she had to crane her neck up to look at him’. To Katy ,’Lucas was, simply put, beautiful’. ’She found herself thinking , he’s almost too beautiful to bear looking at.’  ‘He had perfect features, burnished bronzed skin, dramatic masculinity of physique, and exuded a certain power and charisma that scrambled one’s ability to think straight’.’He possessed a dark, brooding, in-your-face sensuality that she hadn’t expected.’ ‘He had stunning dark eyes, fringed with inky black, luxuriant lashes that pierced through the thin veneer of Katy’s self confidence’.’You gave me a job to do and I was doing it to the best of my ability’.’I’m sorry...people’s sincerely meant promises, is something I don’t do’. He thought,’a chit of a girl who was destined for the scrapheap, for some reason was diluting his focus by her arresting good looks’.’However much you look at me with those big, green eyes the word of an adulterer is something of a tall order’. ‘You are an arrogant, domineering bully!’’For a terrifying moment her anger was eclipsed that made her breathing sluggish and laborious’. Lucas was observing her. ’She was at the same time lippy, argumentative, stubborn and as unpredictable as a keg of dynamite’.’Yet she was dangerously pretty, rebellious and lacking in a moral compass was a recipe for disaster’. Katy kept looking at him and there was,’That smile’.’A long, slow, lazy smile seemed to insinuate into parts of her that she hadn’t known existed’.’Which bit exactly, are you not understanding?’’You can’t just kidnap me for weeks on end?’’That’s a crime!’ ‘However she knew the alternative was litigation, legal bills and no job’.’You’re going to be with me,’ ’With you?’’Not without being mauled to death in the process.’ 'Lucas raised his eyebrows and there was that smile again’.’She hated him’.’You’re not a man’.’If I am not a man, then what am I?’’You’re ...you’re my captor’. ‘Lucas laughed, a rich, throaty laugh that set her senses alight and her pulses racing’.

Cathy Williams is a genius of a writer with an unusual flair for writing Modern genre romances with plenty of verbal sparring, fencing, sarcasm, innuendoes, which encapsulates the story line so engagingly! Her stories are always streamlined with minimum of characters and so the interest of the readers never flag rather it is sustained throughout the story. The characters reveal their love for each other so openly as it were, because they reveal it using economy of actions and words! The hero is one to -die -for and the heroine is extremely endearing, winsome and yet emotionally strong! A stupendous and a brilliant story as always from Cathy Williams!

‘Cleo already knew that Byron was a handsome man, tall, fair haired god with good bone structure, very sparkling blue eyes, and fringed by lashes that any woman would envy ,sexy mouth, suave, and possessing a tall, broad-shouldered frame. ‘‘He was, after all, exceptionally handsome. Cleo did not realise that she would fall victim to his charms!’’He was a charmer, who, despite his obvious intelligence and business acumen, lived the life of a playboy’.’So,’ he said, picking up the two leather-encased menus, ‘What do you fancy, Cleo?’’Still you’, she sighed. ‘‘His smile-plus his good humour bewitched her even more than his looks.’ ‘I’ll have Grace organise a suitable vehicle to meet us at Townsville airport’. Cleo blinked. ‘Us?’ ‘Yes you‘re coming with me’.’He was finding her perversely attractive’.’Quite lovely eyes, the loveliest feature she had.’ ‘Though her mouth was very kissable too.’ ‘Cleo Shelton was a rather intriguing woman’. Yet ,’He was an exceedingly attractive man; even without his money he could turn any woman’s head’. ‘He was puzzled over why he found this woman so damned attractive’.’She had actually very nice hair, dark, thick and shiny with a natural wave in it’.’He liked the way she talked to him, liked her warm smiles and sparkling eyes’.’You’re going to the party with me and that’s that’.
Miranda Lee has an inimitable style about her creative writing skill. She uses linguistic styles to effective use whereby gripping the attention of the readers! Exhilarating, dramatic and stimulating Modern genre romance! 5A*!
Prince Sebastian drawled in an almost bored tone of voice, ‘Drive, Charlie, if you would! ‘’He smiled at Sabrina, and to her he was looking like a fallen angel and that the devil would be so good-looking or else where was the temptation?’Angrily she said,’ I am not your cara, I am not your anything’.’The dark lashes lifted from the angular jut of his high curved cheekbones, his penetrating bone-stripping intensity of his blue eyes seemed to consider her for a moment. She continued, ‘I’m not spending the rest of my life with you’.’A tense silence followed her outburst. She never yelled!’ He asked her coolly, ’Ever heard of volume control?’’One side of his mouth lifted in an incredibly attractive half-smile that made her catch her breath’.’Her hands clenched into fists as with burning eyes she looked at him and said, ‘You are a really horrible man. You know that?’He put a finger to her chin and lifted her face towards him.’ ‘You are blushing!’’His hypnotic blue stare searing her’. Prince Sebastian had been attracted to her from the very first moment he had seen her. ‘She had an incredible mouth, beautiful lips and they made him hungry’.’She was good-looking, more classy, had crystal clarity of skin, with sprinkling of freckles across the bridge of her small straight nose, liquid darkness of eyes and the pink lushness of her amazing lips’. She tightened her lips and retorted ,’I have no pleasant memories of our last encounter’. ‘Her words faded as the vivid memory resurfaced’.’I can think of one ‘, he teased looking at her mouth.’ ‘Sabrina had never seen anything as blue as his eyes, they were compellingly hypnotic. ‘I am a good girl, remember?’’Heat sparking in his heavy lidded eyes he purred throatily, ‘Not always’. ‘Breathing hard she broke off. ‘Have you ever in your life done anything that wasn’t selfish?’’Except for Sebastian, who did what he liked, when he liked.’
Kim Lawrence is a seasoned writer of Classic contemporary Modern genre and has incorporated hints of Medical genre too, that blends in with the plot which is enticing and engaging and fits in perfectly with the story line! The characters mature and do resolve their issues in a very endearing manner and the romantic readers at heart would not like to see them go! It is sheer pleasure to escape into the world of the Royalty/billionaires and escape into this idyllic life style for a couple of hours. The repartee, the animated dialogue and conversations between Sabrina and Sebastian is scintillating! This is a must Romance which needs to be read time and time again! Lovely indeed!

Enthralling, impeccable, fantastic must read, compelling page turner! 5A* unquestionably!

Carole Mortimer captures the attention of the reader straight away! ‘He was tall, at a couple of inches over six feet, complexion was olive-toned and his face was as harshly handsome as that of a conquistador’.’He looked at Lia with those fiercely penetrating hooded black eyes as black and soulless as she knew his heart to be.’ ’Having already met her – desired her--- Gregorio knew none of the images had done her justice’.’Her shoulder-length hair wasn’t simply red, but shot through with highlights of gold and cinnamon, had smooth magnolia skin with long dark lashes which framed those mesmerising grey eyes. Her nose was small and pert with the fullness of her lips that had a perfect bow above a determined chin.’’ He had wanted her for the past two months and he could wait a little longer before claiming her’.’Not only was he as rich as Croesus, but he was coldly aloof and totally unreachable’.’He didn’t only want to be her friend but he had every intention of becoming her lover’. Note the sarcasm when Lia says to him, ’Men like you ruin people’s lives every day’.’Men like me?’ he queried softly.’ ‘He certainly seemed real enough, tall, muscular and bossy as well.’ ’This man had kissed her,’ and 'she had slapped him for it.’ ‘I think you should go’. ‘No’,he answered back she retorted, ‘You can’t just say no’. ‘Oh, but I can. I have’. His sculpted lips curved into a smile’.’I make it a rule always to listen to advice, but I rarely choose to take it’.’He was hard, ruthless, ten years older than her and scary as hell.’ ’Is it possible that you own the Exemplar Hotel?’’He gave a smile of satisfaction and said, ’It is part of the De La Cruz Hotel Group, yes’. ‘Trapped!’’Gregorio was laughing, a relaxed expression lightening his austere features’.
The scintillating conversation, verbal fencing, sarcasm, use of irony is unbelievable! It adds charm to the storyline which is straightforward enough with no extraneous detail. The life style of a self made man is admirable and takes one away from the plebeian style of our society. Highly commendable to possess in any format for revisiting this superb love story where the macho hero is explicit in his expressions of love for Lia from the instant he saw her! Outstanding writer indeed!

‘Jarek had broad shoulders, streaked blond hair; his ice-blue eyes were sharply piercing, intelligent and intense. His body was a masterpiece of masculine beauty which was toned to perfect hardness that fascinated Holly. He was lethally attractive and she estimated he must be two or three inches over six feet tall.’ Add to this Alpha male hero, his other attributes of economy of style with his hand gestures, taking his stance on a chair or sofa or even sitting on a bed! The timbre of his voice with his lazy drawl, amusement, wicked grim command or even throwing back his head and laughing! His tone could be sardonic and he could turn on his charm as easily as flicking a switch’.’His wicked grin did peculiar things to Holly’s insides’.’He was so overwhelming’. Few women would be able to resist his rampant sensuality and the devil-may-care attitude that warned he was untameable’. The hero is to die for as he is a macho, confident and extremely suave when the occasion calls for.
‘Holly was slightly below average height and so he towered over her. She was a stunning brunette, had gorgeous curvaceous figure, attractive doe eyes in her serenely lovely face. Frankly she rendered him speechless’. ‘Professor Heppel failed to mention that you are beautiful, Dr. Maitland’. Subsequently the dialogue, repartee, verbal duelling that ensues between Holly and Jarek is riveting. Sarcasm such as one of the many, is as follows:’ I’m not sure I’ll be able to handle that amount of excitement’.’His grin widened, and his eyes had a wicked glint that made Holly’s heart beat faster’.’How do you like your coffee?’ she gabbled. ‘Black and bitter---like my heart’. His acerbic wit is evident when he says to her, ‘there is only one reason why I would wake you in the middle of the night, angel-face,’ he drawled ‘and it wouldn’t be because I would want to talk’.’Not only are you beautiful, you are clever and compassionate’.
Chantelle Shaw has excelled herself in this duet of ‘The Saunderson Legacy’, with her craftsmanship as a writer of Modern genre that has power, passion and irresistible temptation to take one into a fantasy world of the rich where with trust issues are resolved and the dark demons slayed so that one can enjoy the happiness which is bound to follow! Fascinating and brilliant as always!

Matteo thought ‘Natasha shouldn’t be wearing black. She should be wearing scarlet.’ ‘He despised the very air she breathed’.’Whenever their eyes met it was akin to being stared at by Lucifer, burned by the hatred firing from green eyes that had once looked at her with only tenderness.’ ‘He was tall with dark good looks, olive skin, strong jaw, black curly hair cropped short, with his usual arrogance absent on this occasion barely looked at her.’ ’Suddenly he couldn’t remember why he hated her.’ ’Natasha was the one woman he had taken one look at nearly eight years ago, fell in love with her and he would never be the same man again’.’Eyes of cold green steel stared back at Natasha’.’It was a long time before he spoke ‘.’I’m waiting for an answer.’ His curt voice cut through her thoughts. ’How many others in the line?’ ‘She was lost in her thoughts’. ’Hello my little one.’ ’ She was going to have a baby, wearing a spontaneous smile on her face.’ ‘Matteo said acidly, ’How can you be smiling at such a time?’ ‘Is this amusing to you?’’I will smile and rejoice because it is a miracle’.’The world could never know that she had been a virgin until the night she’d buried her husband’.’Matteo knew the baby was his.’ ’Do you have any idea of the nightmare you’ve pulled me into?’Natasha retorted, ’As far as I recall, you were there too’.’You’re the father’. He hated the idea that even if she hadn’t slept for a month she was the most beautiful woman he’d ever laid eyes on’.’The irony that Natasha would be the mother of his child after all would be laughable if the situation itself wasn’t tragic’.’Natasha was a Pandora from mythology, beautiful, beguiling, radiating innocence but inside full of deceit’.
All the fans of Michelle Smart and those who dote on Modern genre template will get enticed into the passionate love that exists between Matteo and Natasha which is kept hidden only to be unravelled in the nuances of the language such as irony, wit, sarcasm, verbal sparring which are used very subtly and effectively to bring out the storyline of families with skeletons in their cupboard!

Exhilarating, fantastic and sheer delightful Modern romance! Undoubtedly 5A*!

Loukas, ‘was six-foot-four heart stoppingly gorgeous man with eyes so brown you could lose yourself in them’.’He had an aura of quiet authority which was overwhelmingly attractive. He was like a statue. Loukas gave a soft sound that could have passed for an amused chuckle. ‘You Emily don’t have to play hard to get with me’.’I’m not free this evening so ----‘replied Emily.’ I want to see you again,' he answered back.' His voice was rough and smooth gravel, dipped in honey, ‘which Emily found difficult to ignore.' In the meanwhile Loukas was as attracted to her as he was a month ago. 'Emily was cute, with her petite frame, wavy shoulder-length hair that was neither blonde nor brown. Her eyes were like a fawn’s. Bambi eyes. Her skin was peaches-and cream and silk. There was a scattering of freckles over the bridge of her retrousse nose. She had a sunny smile, bright and cheery with well built lips for kissing and other things’. 'There was something about Emily which had drawn his interest and he had taken a fancy to her.’ ‘His bottomless brown gaze moved over body like a caress. He said, ‘You look beautiful’ and ‘He gave one of his rare smiles’.’She had a guileless innocence about her’,which he could not resist ’Please don’t insult me by asking me to marry you’. ‘Loukas frowned. There was no way he was going to disown his own flesh and blood.’
As always Melanie Milburne has created another fantastic love story in this series of ‘One night with Consequences’ which can also be considered as a sequel to ‘Wedlocked series’, as it is about friends featuring in both these wonderful stories. There is a lot of sparring, witticism, verbal fencing for both Loukas and Emily to show who will give into each other first and win a point!
The characters develop into maturity, by the end of the story, within an engaging plot which will grip the attention of the romantic readers at heart! A lovely duet to possess in any format. Brilliant indeed!

Sizzling, sensual, enticing romance of love or lust? 5A*!

An enthralling, saucy, fantastic, love/hate story from an inspiring writer of the Modern genre. It is always entertaining to read Melanie Milburne’s stories and in particular this Wedlocked one!
The storyline and romance is simple, focused and the conversation between Draco and Allegra is riveting. It shows love of a teenager can mature over the years into love if both have an attraction for each other regardless of their circumstances!
Allegra’ loathed the man for being so ...so right about everything.’ Allegra ‘turned round to see his tall figure of six foot three enter and her gaze met his onyx gaze and her senses jumped to attention.’ ’His aura of commanding authority turned every male head and with every female, as he oozed sex appeal from every cell of his body.’
‘His mouth lifted at one corner in his signature half-cynical, half-amused smile.’ He had ink-black hair, with just enough curl, a mouth that that was sensual and sinfully sculpted which she had felt on her mouth just once many years ago’. Drako handed her a clean white handkerchief and said,’Keep it as a souvenir’. She retorted,’The only souvenir I want from you is goodbye’.’I dislike everything about you’. His voice was deep and mellifluous which never failed to make her skin prickle in delight, said to her, ‘I don’t believe you which is why you’ll agree to marry me to keep the business of your father afloat’. ‘Marry him?’ His half-smile was back, making his impossibly black eyes twinkle. ‘I love you too, glykia mou’. His eyes did a lazy sweep of her from head to foot and back again. ‘I want you’. She had her mother’s English peaches-and-cream complexion, dark blue eyes, jet-black hair and slim build with the drive to achieve.’ He still retained and harboured his attraction for her!’You are so damn beautiful’.’You need a strong man and I’m that man’.’His crooked smile came back and sparked a sardonic glint in his gaze’.’She was classy, half-Greek, and she was jaw-droopingly gorgeous’.
They do resolve their insurmountable issues with plenty of wry wit, humour, verbal fencing, sparring and what not! The characters develop by the end of the story with engaging gestures of economy which can be clearly envisaged by the readers. It is a brilliant story and especially for all those romantic readers out in the world! Go for this story and enjoy it!

Sensual, gripping, enthralling perfect Debut Modern genre romance! 5A*indeed!
Clare Connelly has excelled in this her debut story of the love affair between innocent socialite Marnie and self-made billionaire Nikos. Their repartee, the devotion and possessiveness of Nikos for Marnie is so endearing within a simple plot and engaging storyline!
‘Marnie’s skin usually like honey was pale, her golden brown –eyes showed turmoil. She had symmetrical features in a dainty face, a petite frame with brown hair which had natural blonde highlights.’ ‘The six years of separation had been generous with Nikos. Dark eyes, wide –set , rimmed by thick black lashes, a wide mouth set above a chin with a thumbprint-sized cleft.’ ’It was a face that conveyed strength and power, his dark eyes, so captivating—a face that had commanded her love six years ago’. ‘She had forgotten how lethal his looks were. He was completely vibrant .It was the same when he smiled and laughed. The apt definition for him was tall, dark and sexy.’ ‘Marnie’s enormous almond-shaped eyes, warm like coffee flew to his face, ‘and the past flashed through their minds instantly. ‘His eyes bored into hers. She was the picture of stylish grace with her perfectly made-up face’.
Examples of his sarcasm to entice the readers are as follows! ’You summoned me here. I presume it’s not just to stare at me?’’There was the smile of sardonic amusement on his face’.’With pure indolent arrogance he flicked his gaze over her face, then lower...’’What do you want?’ asked Marnie. His dark voice at its arrogant best said, ‘You',' Marnie marry me and I will help’.’I have the means to help your father’.’What did she see in the tightening of his brow and the small pulsing of that muscle in his jaw?’ Read on to see how all their problems are resolved for a happily –ever-after fairy tale!
A stupendous romance! The writer is surely following in the footsteps of the great Classic Contemporary writers of the Modern genre who are true romantics at heart. Worthy story to be kept in any format to read again and again to escape into the idealistic fantasy world!

Sensational, irresistible temptation, passionate Modern genre fairy tale! 5A*!

‘In the past Suki had only needed a quick inhalation of Ramon’s nearness to fill her nostrils, her senses, to make her turn into a mumbling wreck around him. She needed to stop herself from ogling the six-foot four tower of masculine sleekness and suppressed power, the square rugged jaw, the sculpted perfection of his face standing so close to her.’ ‘Ramon completely captivated, hypnotised every human being who made the mistake of glancing his way.’ ’From the olive-toned vibrancy of his skin to the strong column of the throat, she was absorbed by him’. ‘Focusing on the gleaming intense green eyes, when he drawled,’Is your drink infinitely more interesting than I am?’
‘Then he pronounced, ‘he was no longer engaged’ with his face iced up and his eyes turning a shade of turbulent green.’ ‘And now that he was free.......’ thought Suki, with her stunning blue eyes turned on him, she wished him, ‘Have a safe trip back to ...wherever’. He caught her hand, tugging her round to face him saying, ‘No I’m not about to have a safe trip back to ...wherever, because we’re not done, guapa. Far from it’. ‘He was dynamic enough, confident enough, tall enough, dark enough and hell even Spanish enough.’
Maya Blake uses gestures, very effectively juxtaposed with sarcasm, wit, and banter and of course sparring to good use, to bring out the inherent conflict that exists between Ramon and Suki! A sample of their conversations which entices the readers is as follows!’It’s the done thing to look a person in the eyes, at least once, when they are talking to you, is it not?’’Pretended outrage at my language isn’t necessary. A simple yes or no will suffice’. She retorted,’I should warn you that I’m two seconds from throwing my drink in your face’. ‘His laughter was mocking and cruel.’ ’She shook her head against the magic he was weaving with his low, husky voice and sizzling touch.’ Their love is for all to see and experience in their dream world! The story line and plot is engaging and the characters grow into it beautifully by the end of the story!

‘Princess Valentina blinked. Achilles didn’t know why the green of her eyes seemed too bright, somehow.’ ’Everything about her was brighter. How could anyone walk into a regular lavatory and come out.....gleaming’. ‘Her voice was almost......musical.’ ’Her copper-coloured hair gleamed, her skin glowed. She was sitting there like some kind of regal Madonna.’ ‘Looking at her he would have thought that she was really someone else entirely’. ‘All she did was smile at him again, with that maddeningly enigmatic curve of her lush lips.’ ’It would not kill you to be more polite, would it?’’Polite .‘ ‘His own assistant had just lectured him on his manners’. She found him,‘ devastating.’ ‘ His black hair was close-cropped which only served to highlight his intensely masculine features. Dark eyes that tended towards gold, a strong nose which reminded her of ancient statues with the lean hard body. Achilles was something else’. His voice was razor sharp.’ ‘I greatly enjoy listening to you’. There was laziness in the way he sat there, sprawled, with that dark gold gaze on hers’.
Romantic readers need to look out for the sarcasm, ironical statements, economy of gestures, witticism and banter which is so craftily written into the dialogue and conversation to keep the readers engrossed! Achilles rasps out, ‘I need no one and nothing’.’Let’s get started’.’ He planned to have fun with the Princess of Murin’ as he watched confusion move over her face in a blink, and then disappear’.’He knows.’ She was terrified. ’His dark gold eyes gleamed’.’She had the strangest notion that he was enjoying himself’.’Perhaps you were trying a lateral move from boardroom to my bed?’’Achilles smiled as if she delighted him with his mind game’.
A brilliant end to this stupendous duet of romanticism by this genius of a writer for Modern genre! This can grace any home library as one can re -read this fairy-tale repeatedly as it is a battle of contest between Achilles and Valentina and her twin sister Natalie with her prince Charming? Excellent!

Entrancing, lovely, gripping Beauty & the Beast fairy tale! 4* indeed!

Sheikh Azim al Bahjat, stood erect, still and his face was grave and unsmiling. His eyes were black and opaque; his hair was cut close, he had broad shoulders, tapering narrow hips and, long, powerful legs. He was however an attractive man, his features even and his mouth had a mobile, sensual curve. His voice, when he spoke was clipped and cold. ‘We will marry in one week’s time’.’By my side, in the palace harem----or in my bed’. ‘This man, who had not spared her so much as an introduction, who barked commands, whose smile seemed cruel, was going to be her husband.’ On the other hand , at first sight he saw,’ hidden from her view Johara, his bride to be, step out with her slippered foot first, small and dainty, a slim golden ankle, her form willowy and enticing and hair as dark as ink. She had large, clear grey eyes, framed by sooty lashes and gently arched brows’.’A pert nose, delicate cheekbones and full pouty kissable lips’. She ‘was gorgeous,’ innocent and sensual ‘and she didn’t even realise how alluring she was.’ Azim ‘gave her a single, blazing look.’ While she thought, ’had his lips really been that full?’
Her winsome, gentle ways will win the romantic, independent, readers who will become Johara’s admirers and try to win Johara’s battles for her! While the Sheikh’s ‘scar which snaked from the corner of his left eye to the curve of his mouth still looked red and livid’, may be off-putting for many readers, as they long for perfection in their Alpha macho hero. However not withstanding that scar, the plot is enticing and engaging, the linguistic style of the use of irony, wit, sarcasm, banter will bring chuckles to the readers. Phrases such as, ‘Azim laughed softly,’’ whispered close to her ears’, ‘growled angrily’, will entrap the readers into their problems of mistrust and suspicions about each other. The readers will empathise and identify with these larger than life characters! A pleasure to read this last duet about the Sheikhs and keep it in either a paperback or in a kindle in one’s home library. Superb indeed!

Lucy in the looks department who worked as a waitress was an extraordinarily beautiful girl. Men stopped in their tracks simply to stare at her. 'He was full six-foot-three inch in height he glowered down at her, green eyes luminescent with rage as it had been nearly two years since he had seen her’.’Answer me,’ he ground out impatiently. ‘I don’t owe you any answers...I don’t owe you any time of the day’. Unusual, dramatic, sensual and gripping Modern genre! 5A*!

She possessed feminine perfection of form, he had seen many times before yet he found waxing rhapsodically over hair that flowed around her shoulders, as if the copper was redder or perhaps brighter’.’ Valentine ( Natalie) smiled and a gleam he had never seen, before kindled her eyes which must have been that remarkable shade of green’.’Natalie, unbeknown to him, appeared to be teasing him was astounding, nonetheless’. While to her Natalie, he was well over six feet, with hard, strong shoulders , a leashed , humming sport of power, dark chocolate eyes, lean and rangy hard male beauty that a woman could lose herself into .His hands were large and aristocratic, his voice was an authoritative rumble and his gaze was shockingly direct.’ He was ‘upsettingly----almost, incomprehensibly—stunning’. ‘Rodolfo simply, reached over and picked the princess up from the settee, hauling her through the air and setting her across the lap’. Now read on the romantic fans of Caitlin Crews and see what is in store for you all!
Caitlin Crews has an engaging plot so though, there are some extra threads that get enmeshed in the story- line, that becomes a bit deviating! The linguistic styles employed by the writer are very interesting and brings forth plenty of chuckles! He said to her, ’snarling, like it or not you are mine’. Then again,’he laughed with a wry amusement’. Rodolfo was ‘magnetic’.
The problems have to be solved in one way or the other and is like a fairy tale and will keep the readers totally hooked by the end of this first story in the duet of the Scandalous Royal Brides duet. Brilliant and well written to be worthy to buy and enjoy the stories!

Stimulating, sizzling, compelling page turner of Modern genre! 5A*

‘Alice looked up to see Cristiano framed in the door, his chocolate-brown eyes as hard as two black bolts.’ ‘Alice intuitively felt who he was even before she saw him as the air was pulsing with crackling electricity!’ She told her assistant, ‘Tell him I’ll be ten minutes’. Prompt came the answer, ‘You can tell me yourself’. What a wonderful way to start the opening sentence between ex -lovers of the past! ‘Cristiano’s towering frame, commanding air, jet- black hair’, made Alice feel the floor was shifting beneath her feet.’ Alice asks him, ‘What brings you here? Personality makeover?’’His eyes nailed hers’.’Hard eyes’. Back then, seven years ago, he had looked at her with tenderness, with gentleness, with love’. ‘A love she had thrown back in his face.’ His expectations now meant ‘she had to be engaged to him for a month? Married for six’.' Six seconds would be too long for Alice!' His arrogance demanding her acquiesce 'made her furiously angry'. He held her look and said, ‘The marriage won’t be consummated’.’It will be a marriage in name only’. ‘He knew how much sensual power he had over her. She too could see it in the glint in his pitch-black eyes.’ Married for six months to her mortal enemy? Game on.'He had an unnerving ability to get her to do things she had no intention of doing!'
For him , ‘her indifferent poise, her cornflower-blue gaze, the way she looked down her aristocratic nose at him, her lissome and gorgeous figure , her unusual silver-blonde hair with the creamy, ageless perfection of her skin, gave her a stunning appearance that took his breath away’. There it was her beauty of seven years ago as enticing for him as ever!
The author’s writing skills are superb and enticing on its own merit! It will make the reader want to read engagingly because of the linguistic style! Here are a few examples: ‘casual amusement’, deep gravelly cadence of his voice’, ‘he used sarcasm instead of emotion’, ’better to be cutting and mocking’ are some of it used by both Alice and Cristiano to continue their verbal sparring and indulge in ‘cutting comeback’. Their problems are no doubt resolved by the end of the story and it leaves the readers with a feel good factor! Brilliant and a must buy indeed

Entertaining, sizzling, dramatic Modern genre ! 4*
Angelina ‘had vibrant, sensual beauty which had haunted him every time he thought about taking another woman to bed. She on the other hand took in the tall, dark –haired , olive –skinned male, to gaze at his dark, hard eyes as treacherous as black ice.’ ’What are you doing here, Lorenzo?’’His lethally handsome face twisted into a mocking look’. He had hardened into an even more dangerously attractive version of the man she’d known’ .He stepped closer, six foot three inches of far too intense male vibrating with an expression of leashed aggression’.’We are still married, Angie’. She would always be his. ‘Always Angelina . Never anyone else.’ ‘All I can see is those beautiful blue eyes of yours and those vows we recited...’he said huskily to her. ’I hate you,’ she breathed. ‘I really do’. His mouth twisted.’Sometimes I really hate you too, tesoro’. She was still the most exquisite woman he’d ever known’.’You haunt me, Angelina, every time I’m with another woman’. ‘Where has the light gone? The vibrant, spirited woman I met that night in Nassau’. ‘Angie had this ability to mesmerize any red-blooded male with whom she came into contact’. Dancing with her husband was ...electrifying’.
The writer has all the ingredients of a Modern genre, sensual, irresistible temptation between multibillionaire tycoon and equally pretty heroine with wry wit, ironical statements and banter to exchange with each other, to resolve their issues and end on a happy note by the end of the story! However the plot has circles within circles and a single thread becomes entwined quite a bit so that the main thrust of the plot gets lost! If one can overcome ‘this’ then it is an entertaining story!

Sizzling, entertaining, enticing Modern Romance! 5*
The tycoon, ‘Rowan was gorgeous, with his deep tan, sun-streaked hair, arresting light green eyes which was icy, contemptuous and so very dismissive, framed by black lashes, yet very compelling so that you couldn’t look away. She’d bought him because he was tall and broad shouldered, had intense male energy, his innate confidence was apparent and he was by far the most primal, the most sexual amongst them all. She watched him and she wanted him.’ ’Looking back three years later, she recognised the smile for what it was – mockery!’ Rowan had been watching the emotions flit across her face----- it was a stunning face. It wasn’t just her bone structure, it was the whole package. He noticed the long, thick honey hair, her wide-set blue eyes, the sweep of her brows, the dark pink lips above a resolute chin.’ Rowan gave her a smile, making him look younger, freer and sexy.’ ’We were good,’ he said still smiling with his lazy drawl. A lethal man’.’He was powerful from the top of his head to the intense gold of his eyes, to the tip of his toes.’ ‘He remembered she was pretty, but had forgotten how her beauty was such a physical thing.’ This woman standing in front of him was sexual, no doormat, exuded power and resolve with the light of battle illuminating her stunning features!
The insurmountable issues have to be solved but there is the mutual trust they need to have between them which they lack .Here the writer’s skill of witticism, banter, constant argument to score a point over each other will keep the readers engrossed in the story line and not let them go. The characters develop, through very rapid events and it ends with icing on the cake in the Epilogue! A stupendous story indeed! Go for it!

Leandro’s ‘jaw clenched, blanking out his memories of the golden-eyed witch who had made him take his eye off the ball.’ Abigail’s eyes were as green as he remembered with gold flecks, figure was as luscious and as sexy, and that could haunt a man’s dreams.’ While Abigail looked at the arrival of a six-foot-two specimen of pure, hard-edged masculinity, with those achingly familiar tawny eyes fringed by eyelashes which could have been the envy of any woman’. Leandro ‘was an alpha male of sinful beauty who took her breath away.’’ He was the sort of guy women dreamed about. ’ ‘A year and a half ago, ‘he had first laid eyes on her, found her attractive and wanted to bed her. The multi-billionaire Rio’ looked down into her beautiful luminous eyes as green as any emerald’, were set on fire for him. ‘She was a real beauty with skin as translucent as creamy porcelain and had stupendous sexy curves that matched her tiny waist. In reality she had never met such a stunningly good-looking male as Rio.’ They had met two years ago, a disastrous one,so Ellie seeming him again, was as hot as hellfire said, ‘I wouldn’t touch you even with gloves.’ ’Nonetheless you ooze that rich-girl quality of disdain and it sets my teeth on edge’. ‘Her plain blonde hair fell in a silken curtain, framing her exquisite face with its elfin features and a wide mouth that was entirely sensual. Her dark blue eyes reminded him of sapphires. She was ethereal and too petite for his six feet four frame.’ ‘Elin noticed a stranger at her birthday party and she knew immediately what to wish for when she blew out the candles on her cake. An arresting, tall broad shouldered, handsome man had come into her view! He was the most gorgeous man she’d ever set eyes on’ ‘His mannerism and style of standing with one foot casually crossed over his other ankle was attractive enough while his eyes were the colour of sable flecked with gold, halted in front of her. Elin, noticed he had chiselled cheekbones, square jaw and his wickedly sensual mouth that promised heaven’. The dramatic meeting of the couple begins with sarcasm, and banter as he says to her ’Happy Birthday Blondie’ to which she took umbrage, as she hated that nickname. ‘That’s not my name, it is Elin’. She shouldn’t want him, but she did’.’What do you want Elin?’’You’, she heard herself say in a husky voice, which she did not recognise as her own. To her astonishment she saw a stark hunger in his eyes’.
A year later their attraction is still as strong and as intense as ever! To him she was even more beautiful than he remembered; an Aphrodite. While Elin even now, considered Cortez as more stunning and a handsome man she had ever met in her life. His lips were curved in a cynical expression and Elin hated herself for the quiver that ran through her. ‘He remarked, ’You have a child’ and ’Are you in contact with your child’s father?’ Prompt came the retort softly, ’You are my son’s father, ‘ a voice that had haunted him for the past year.

Unmissable page turner, scintillating, tremendous love affair! Undoubtedly A5*!

One of the most dramatic opening chapters of a Modern genre romance which will capture the attention of the readers instantly. It describes the reality of Rollo who has the movie star look about him, handsome, exuding masculinity, power, and poise. He was blond, sharp clean-lined jaw with eyes that were glittering green and sporting a full-lipped curve which could soften into the sexiest smile. Daisy on the other hand had a slight tilt of her chin, when talking with Rollo so the wash of colour, on the flawless cheekbones was so evident. ‘A beautiful, brown-eyed beauty she was make-up free, from the soft curves of her mouth to the huge espresso –coloured eyes which was designed to seduce.’’ Eyes that somehow managed to look sleepy yet seductive at the same time’.’His charm for her was lethal particularly when the chill and distance left his voice he was at his most dangerous’. ‘He smiled a small dispassionate smile.’ ‘She hated the sneer, the way his eyebrow lifted’. There was a taut silence when he commented on her name ‘Daisy, old-fashioned. Sweet. Decent.' It’s a pity you don’t live up to it’.
‘He’d simply been watching, waiting... for her to realise the fact he knew all along that her brother had stolen his watch’.’His eyes glinted threateningly, ‘I don’t need a heart to recognise a thief’.’His green eyes gleamed triumphantly, with his smug assumption, he held out his phone and said softly, ‘So call the police. Go on call them’.’In that case you are a bully’, she felt almost giddy with anger and retorted ‘I’m not a thief’. He watched her calmly.’ So ...last chance. What’s it to be? Me? Or the police?’ He was so unspeakably arrogant and autocratic and she loathed him’.’I want you to be my wife’.’There was a moment of pure, absolute silence.’
The love between Daisy and the alpha macho, domineering, arrogant proud Rollo is totally engrossing! It shows how the love of an independent, equally proud woman who could also be a sexy minx can win over her lover with her actions and words. True love cannot be quenched by anything as it will flower and blossom!
The dialogue, repartee, sarcasm, wit and gestures the attractive locations, against which their story unfolds is so very riveting. Excellent Modern genre which needs to be read and re –read. Stupendous, brilliant craftsmanship of the skilled writer that Louise Fuller is!

Emotional and sensual Modern genre. 4*

Prince Kasim ‘was as attractive as they came! He was utterly spectacular. Dark liquid eyes that seemed almost black, flawless bone structure with straight nose and perfectly balanced jaw line. His mouth ---That bottom lip was positively erotic’. Angelique, on the other hand, twin sister of Trella, was a feisty beauty. She knew she was beautiful. He looked at her and found her appealing and held her entire being enthralled.’ ’His lips quirked.’ ’Her brunette tresses fell in loose waves around her shoulders. Too casual?’The small dimples at the top of each of her firm, round cheeks ‘were so attractive to him.’ ‘She was tall and slender, built like a model’.

‘Your insolence toward me is unprecedented. Take extreme care, Angelique’.He wanted to be with her. ’He pushed his hands into his pants pocket, rocking on his heels’.

They do solve their issues/problems eventually though  it is not a simple plot or story line,as there are far too many extraneous detail and  deviations with a large family  which  tends to distract the readers who want the plot to go on. Not only are there family members but also Security detail which can confuse some readers. There is plenty of banter; repartee and dialogue which makes readers smile to see the natural conclusion of the drawn out story.

Good read of an intense love affair, emotional and sensual 4A*!

Raul and Lydia are strongly attracted to each other but it takes a while for their attraction to build up. ‘Lydia is tall, slender with long blond hair falling down her shoulders, carried herself beautifully. She had pale and creamy complexion with eyes which were china blue’. While Raul’s beauty had been evident from the moment she set eyes on him. Both felt each other’s presence even if their eyes did not meet initially! ‘He had jet black hair which gleamed, his voice was deep, polished and poised and he had a confident air about him. He was a black eyed stranger and his smile was a true and very rare gift.’ ‘The real beauty was however in the eyes of Raul that stared so deeply into hers that she felt there was nowhere to hide’.’He was dark, he was dangerous and he was as sexy as hell’.
Her eyes met his and she frowned---‘Are you imagining what I think you are?
‘Yes Lydia I am.’ ‘This man irritated her.’ ’Oh, she couldn’t see him, but she knew his attention was on her’. For years revenge had been Raul’s motivator. Now it would seem that it had ---in the delicate shape of an English rose’.
The characters emerge by the end of the story, as well developed personas though there is a bit of lag in the events, in which they find themselves, to reveal their feelings.
There is wit, dialogue and repartee which is engaging and ofcourse the end always justifies the means! Hints of brutality and cruelty may upset some romantic readers at heart as it is fun to escape into a world of fantasy with minimal references to them. A good read though and congratulations to Carol Marinelli for reaching the 100 th Milestone in this genre!

She was totally, ‘dumbstruck’.’Raphael are you married?’'About to be .I can’t afford distractions any longer’. Therefore she was now single, out of job and pregnant at twenty two.
After being jilted he returns to Bailey and she replied back in rage, ‘Get out of my apartment your Majesty', ‘and hit him with a shoe!' This does get more dramatic and engages the reader's attention immediately! The movements and gestures of Raphael, with their repartee, sarcasm, dialogue is astounding and fascinating. Here are a few examples to whet your curiosity about them and their issues.’ I am a Prince cara mia, and what I want I have’. ‘You are going to be my wife’. He exuded royalty so obviously, how had she not picked that up?’You will be a problem’, he said to her. She snapped back,’ ‘Excellent. One hopes that I will be too much of a problem for you to take on’. In the private jet he admonishes her by saying ’This is First-class, all the way’. ‘You seem to have a Tin man syndrome. No heart’,she retorted back.
Maisey Yates is an extremely skilled writer. She is fully aware of what the fans would look out for in a Modern genre Romance! The hero is so attractive, strong mentally yet with plenty of wit and concern too, for his love! Every sentence they exchange is full of witticism as if he knows what she will say next.It has to be re-read to appreciate their conversations and keep chuckling to yourself!Brilliant!

The story is quick paced with hardly any extraneous detail. The characters develop in their attitude towards each other and all’s well that ends well. A fascinating, stupendous trilogy worthy to be kept in any format! Buy it and escape into a dreamworld!

Fabulous, fantasy come true fairy tale! 5A* indeed!
This story has hints of dark, brooding heroes to entice the romantics around the globe! ‘Zara had a shy dimpled smile on her glowing face. Her loosely tied rich brown hair had been starting to tumble, curled softly at her temples round her sweetheart shaped face , dominated by those large sea-green shining eyes and full rosebud lips.’ Whereas Tomas ‘was taller than she remembered, leaner –looking, with jet-black unruly mess of hair with a hint of curl, looked harder , unhappier but his eyes were the same---still that beautiful dark brown. He was so striking and so unforgettable’. ‘Their problem seems insurmountable as he has lost his memory for a year or so in a road accident.
Tomas stared at the bedraggled woman.’I don’t want whatever it is you’re selling?’ ‘I’m not here to sell you anything’. ‘I’m here to help you’. For a beat he looked stunned before snapping back, ’I don’t need or want your help’, he said slowly, cynicism harsh in his eyes.’ ‘You just can’t stop insulting me can you?’She glared at him.’ ’She was like a sensual pixie specially sent to torment him with her curves, her mouth and the irrepressible sparkle in her eyes’.’But she’d been nothing in Tomas’s life---only a moment, a whimsy.’ And she was still half in love with him’.’She’d always been too aware of him, too attracted, too ready to say yes’. Tomas drew in a steadying breath. Zara ‘was an undaunted kitten.’ She recalled that Tomas of the past had been ‘arrogant, decisive with flashes of fun.’ He couldn’t bear to look into her radiant face---she was too pretty with those huge expressive eyes and that sweetly curving mouth’.’Because, sweetheart, you have no idea how much I want you’.
The storyline is simple with no extraneous detail. The sparring, wit and irony will not be lost on the readers as the engaging plot will keep one engrossed till the very end. It is a real page turner, unmissable and a must to grace any home, anywhere. Stupendous and brilliant!

Passionate Romantic Modern genre sizzling story indeed! 5A* undoubtedly!
‘Would you not prefer me to make love to you?’The things that Zafir’s deep bass voice alone could do – never mind his looks….’ where on earth was Darcy supposed to go with such a question’.
’Her silken wheat-coloured hair glided down over her cheekbones. Her extraordinary blue eyes still had the ability to dazzle him more than ever. Darcy’s beauty had been the ethereal kind that romantic poets wrote about’.’Her beautiful face he had always likened to his vision of an angel, etched on his heart’. 'Four years ago he was the warm, erudite man she’d once worked for and fallen in love with. Now he was a very different person a cold, embittered stranger she was facing'. ’He was engaged to be married.’Yet to Darcy, even after the passage of time ‘he was simply magnificent’
.’Did you not believe me when I said I never wanted to set eyes on you again? you are my subordinate. You should speak in deference to the hierarchy of my position’. ’The bewitching appeal that had hypnotized him from the very first hadn’t decreased in the slightest. It had become more intense and mesmerising’.’She looked young and ravishing- like a fairytale princess, an angel who rendered him spellbound’.
Readers will be drawn towards him because of his smart movements and gestures coupled with his strong personality of a Sheikh / King of a country! ‘His velvety dark brows came together in a forbidding frown’.’The smile he quirked was wry’. ‘Unperturbed, the steady black eyes held her gaze’. ‘her one-time lover watched her avariciously, like a hawk to bear down on his prey’. Darcy saw the silken black orbs reflected an intimidating mockery that it was utterly pointless to argue’.
Maggie Cox, a seasoned writer spins superb Modern genre of romanticism! All the ingredients of a love story will be found in this story. The characters are so realistic that you might want to meet them .The repartee/conversation is scintillating and witty. It is only right that that both the hero and the heroine realise the meaning of true love. Highly recommended as it deserves more than one read! It is to keep and enjoy in any format! The title lives up to the Modern genre romance of fantasy and passion! A5* no doubt!

Renzo Sabatini, a billionaire and Darcy Denton with a dubious past are worlds apart! Yet they cannot deny that intense mutual, instant attraction for each other in their first meeting! Renzo stared down into her green eyes, which glittered like emeralds in porcelain-pale skin,  her youthful body, natural beauty fresh and flowing says to her, ‘Did you time your visit especially because you knew I’d be undressing?’She had been nothing but a little firecracker since the first day he’d clapped eyes on her. Darcy lit up his soul and body. Because powerful men who dallied with waitresses only wanted one thing, didn’t they? Darcy was a working class for a start. They were certainly mismatched.’ ‘She changed her tight smile into a bright smile, shaking her damp red curls free’. While Renzo was tall, had a powerful frame, black hair and black eyes with those dark-rimmed spectacles had a tremendous impact on her!‘His masterful arrogance had even thrilled her’. The subtle actions and gestures he displayed unconsciously like ‘his lips curving into a slow smile, ‘his deep voice dipping into a growl’ ,’his black eyes crinkling’, are  facial movements which will make the romantic readers swoon too!

Renzo looked upon her as his possession. ’It’s not praise I want,’ he said softly, ‘It’s you. I’m not ready to let you go’.’Not yet’. For Darcy why continue with him who had ice for a heart? ‘giving  herself ‘a wry smile’.

Sharon Kendrick with true skill of a clever story teller has woven a brilliant romance around the couple, with fast paced events unfolding for them and the readers, filled with problems and issues encouched in witty dialogue, sarcasm and repartee! to enjoy and chuckle  whilst reading!

A thrilling, enticing story to buy in any format.

A True Classical Modern Genre with 5 A* What a dramatic start with the title of this superlative Modern romance by a genius of a writer! ‘With this ring I thee blackmail’. Wow!
Rashad is, ‘six feet three inches tall, black –haired, perfect bone structure, possessed long-lashed dark eyes, he dominated most gatherings and his smouldering dark good looks inspired admiring comments from others. ’Where as Polly had ,’wide blue eyes, the colour of gentian violets, blonde hair, was blindingly beautiful. Her skin was equally fair, moulded over a heart –shaped face, sultry full pink mouth and was rather tiny in stature’. Yet they had instant chemistry sparking off between them !
‘It is my ring, not yours, ‘Polly flung back at him dizzily. Rashad told her without skipping a beat,’you are even being –a little childish’. He stared at her, fascinated by the personality hidden beneath that beautiful, fragile outer shell’. To which she retorted,’If you weren’t who you are I’d thump you for saying that’.
‘Polly shouting and threatening him with a ludicrous assault had a wonderfully refreshing effect on his mood. Had she any idea how many Dharian laws she had broken! She looked remarkably like an idealised image of an angel’.’You’re not my king’ said Polly with a slow sweet smile’. A wholly inappropriate laugh broke from his lips. ’We are breaking rules’, he said. The sharp, smart and quick reply came back, from Polly, ‘Sometimes it’s fun to break rules’. The icing is always for many of us, a child at the end, bringing the story to its natural conclusion!
This is truly a Fairy Tale within the framework of Modern Romantic genre. The love of the couple is so transparent, with no extraneous detail, plenty of witty dialogue that it keeps the attention of the reader till the very last page. Stupendous! Exquisite! Go for it in any format!

An enthralling, sensational, passionate story of love! 5A* no doubt!
The story of Izor Augostin and Lilian Girard revolves around this statement ‘She-is-your-ward’, which keeps dominating Izor’s sleeping and waking moments. The readers will find it riveting to see how this ‘unforbidden love’ will work itself out amidst fascinating locations. It becomes a fairytale fantasy!
Izor the guardian of ten years,’ is impossible, overwhelming, who has made his presence felt from afar this past decade’. His trademark of ‘black gaze, the mocking curl of his haughty lips attracted Lilian from the time she knew him.’ ‘He was indisputably a man of bronze statue; hard male sinew and ingrained athleticism ‘caused Lilian to rebel, without him having to say a single word. ‘Intense. Ruthless.Undeniable.’
While Lilian in these intervening years ‘had become taller, slimmer, with masses of golden hair which was nothing short of mesmerizing.’ ‘Her plump tilted sweet mouth’ made him gaze on them, coupled with her ‘blue eyes’, he felt she had blossomed into one of the most ‘stunning woman he’d ever seen in his life’. She ‘looked wild, untamed, golden and gorgeous’.’Her silly little smile, at what was happening was nothing short of delight ‘, to Izor, more so when she said ‘Sir’ to rile him ever so frequently!
He growled, ‘I am not playing these games with you. I would be very careful little girl, that you do not overplay your hand’. Fury and far darker, dangerous tone threaded through that quiet voice of his’.’I am talking of marriage, Liliana not an excavation’. Izor’s gestures such as ‘thunderous scowl, ’lean jaw clenched’, ’his hard mouth flirted with the faintest curve ‘all went to make Izor ‘a dark-haired black –eyed devil’.
The repartee used is skillful and bewitching; the sparring between them is equally entertaining! She is a young minx who will steal the hearts of the romantic readers at every twist and turn till the end of the book!
This story is a real page turner! True love has to be experienced and cherished and in what better format than in a paperback or a Kindle.

Irresistible, passionate, sensual, Modern genre story indeed! Undoubtedly 5A*!
Billionaire Stefano Moretti ‘Stood there, as dark and menacing as she’d ever seen him. He inspired terror and hero-worship in equal measure’.’There was no denying it, her boss was utterly gorgeous. Well over a foot taller, dark hair, a strong Roman nose, generous lips and eyes a green colour capable of arresting a person with one glance’. He placed his hands palm down on her desk and gazed at her taking in the beautiful face with her hazel eyes that had captivated him from the start’. ‘Those luscious lips were taunting him. She was taunting him’.’He wrote the rules, not this witch who had spellbound him with lust’.’She had silky dark chestnut hair and skin as creamy to the touch as to the eye.’ Yet he despised her, an enigma wrapped in a layer of mystery’.‘His revenge had fuelled him’. ‘I am not a man to forgive. I forget nothing’.
‘She smiled. If Stefano didn’t know of her conniving clever, sweet, beautiful facade, she had he would be entranced by her’.’Everything had gone wrong since she’d left him’.
Stefano used gestures which captivates a person such as ,’a slow smile spread across his face’, ’flashing his irresistible smile and rolled his shoulders’, ’the same glimmer in his green eyes’.’Roared with laughter’ would charm the reader as well!
Michelle Smart weaves a superb Modern genre of romanticism! It contains all the ingredients of a love story, fraught with jealousy, mistrust and conjectures till their problems are resolved in the engaging plot. The characters are so realistic that you might want to meet them and help them along!
The repartee/conversation is scintillating, witty and sometimes scattered with innuendoes too! It is only right that that both the hero and the heroine realise the meaning of true love which culminates in the Epilogue which is where the dream comes true for them and the romantics at heart! Highly recommended as it deserves more than one read in any format!

Terrific, sensual, Modern genre romance! 5A*no doubt!
Luca Tebaldi’s, ‘stare lingered on her face’. ‘Why did he find her so attractive?’ She was challenging and spiky and unpredictable. Yet he found her utterly fascinating’. ‘What was behind that steady green eyes of hers?’’With her milky skin, red-gold hair and clear green eyes, she was certainly siren material and had an alluring innocence beneath her quirky shell’.
On the other hand ‘Luca was well over six feet tall. Luca possessed the type of dangerously compelling glamour of a man born to rule’. ‘He had the hard –muscled frame of a Roman gladiator, and was considered to be outrageously good –looking’.’He was tall, dark with thick wavy black hair and an unwavering stare’. ‘He was ’brutally masculine and had shedloads of presence’.
‘He still wasn’t sure what to make of Jen/Jennifer Sanderson, an asset/threat and was to him a largely unknown quantity’. As he examined Jen’s feet he marvelled at how tiny her feet were, and how soft’.’Her toenails were like tiny pink shells’.‘The power of her beauty shocked him’. Luca and Jennifer are worlds apart yet when they meet in one of the most unusual situation in the opening chapters of the story and it becomes explosive and exciting for both of them!
He murmured to her, ‘I don’t have a problem’, with his mouth close to her, ‘My only problem is you’.
The Romantic readers’ appetite by now would be whetted to hear more of this ‘verbal jousting’. It could also be in repartee and dialogue as they would be pulled into the enticing simple story-line of love in a fantasy world.
The attractiveness of the hero is increased by his economy of hand gestures and bodily movements such as: ’Luca agreed with a wry tug of the mouth’, or ‘’as one sweeping ebony brow rose in disapproval ‘,’his eyes were dancing with laughter, while her cheeks blazed red’.’Curving one of his faint, heart-stopping smiles, Luca ordered softly, ‘Prove it’.
The plot is developed rapidly, with no extraneous detail so the interest of the readers does not flag. Superb happy ending for all concerned especially the fans of Susan Stephens .Her genius lies in the description of facial and voice nuances in the handsome hero she delineates and in Jen the loveable, feisty heroine that she is! The icing on the cake is obviously in the Epilogue. One has to read it to find the mystery! An incredible must buy book in any shape or form. Exquisite and brilliant!

Stunning read, sensual, riveting romance! 5A*indeed!

Emma Sanders eyes were a mossy green, reminding him of the depths of Russian forests in summer. Although her green eyes were a distraction he was unable to put aside his anger towards her. She was stunning. He himself was in danger of falling victim to her charms and distractions. Emma removed her scarf, revealing long, straight hair the colour of sable, a beautiful woman! Maybe playing to the attraction sizzling between them would be the way to create that distraction into mutual satisfaction. To Emma, Nikolai was undeniably handsome and oozed a lethal kind of sex appeal. He was a powerful specimen of masculinity, tall, dark-haired man who had been cold towards her initially. She looked up at him, into those midnight-black eyes and she knew she couldn’t fight fire with fire. ’Maybe we should eat’, she asked in a soft, husky voice. Food was the last thing Nikolai wanted. She was so alluring, so tempting. He replied, ‘It is not food I hunger for’. ‘Let’s go upstairs’. Nikolai was very clear when he said to Emma, ’I want nothing more than this moment in time’.
Rachael Thomas has excelled in this story of the love affair between Emma and Nikolai. Their repartee, the devotion and possessiveness of Nikolai for Emma is so endearing. It was prudent of the writer to stress the emotional scars which both of them had been subjected to from their childhood. This story is worth a second read, unmissable in any format and realise that dreams can come true! Brilliant!

Terrific, sensual, Modern genre romance! 5*no doubt!

‘Arden Wills had the colour of a sunburst of curling locks, as soft as down. Her lush lips, her neat nose, her slender, delicate throat all of which he knew and recalled instantly. A voice Idris knew all too well, from a distant past.'‘While to Arden , her brain told her it was him. The man who changed her life.’ ’Arden,’ the voice was low and soft as smoke, encircling her like an embrace’. Huge eyes fixed on Idris Baddour, the Sheikh of Zahrat. He had crisp dark hair, chiselled features and broad shoulders and reminded her of Shakil. ‘She drank in his spare, handsome features and just looking at him it left her breathless.’ ‘Idris saw, one dark, one golden, both were beautiful women, one his rejected bride and the other his affianced bride’. ‘Arden might be trouble on two beautiful, sexy legs but it was Arden he wanted in his bed’. ‘In traditional dress the Sheikh was the most attractive man she’d ever seen and was the stuff of pure fantasy’.’ It was fantasy to imagine she read something intimate in those black velvet eyes’.
Arden Wills and Idris Baddour are worlds apart yet when they meet in one of the most unusual situation after four years, in the opening paragraphs of the story it becomes explosive both for them and the readers! From there on their dialogue and their subsequent meetings get so exciting! The plot is developed rapidly, with no extraneous detail so the interest of the reader does not flag. Superb happy ending for all concerned especially the fans of Annie West. Her genius lies in the description of facial and voice nuances in the handsome hero she delineates in Idris and the loveable, feisty heroine Arden! A must buy in any format!

A real page turner sizzling, Romance to be read at one go! Superb!
‘And you are?’ enquired the formidable tycoon, Angelos Mena. Natalia stammered, a flush washing over her face, making her hazel eyes seem luminous in her freckled, heart-shaped face. She tucked her unruly hair behind her ears, golden brown strands behind her small, perfectly formed ears’. To her something disturbing began to unsettle her, 'a power like a magnetic force, making her realise how dangerous this man could be’. ‘She considered him a stunning, sexy and potentially virile man. Crisp dark hair cut very short framed a chiselled face with straight slashes of eyebrows and deep brown eyes that had been glowering at her at this unfortunate interview’. ‘The man had no sense of humour, friendliness or sensitivity.' ‘He was a machine. A robot. A drone.....’ ’Even scowling the man was devastatingly attractive’. He spoke to her with annoyance, ‘Talia you are extraordinarily short-sighted and flighty’. ‘She was an impossible, aggravating mystery whom he found was an utter contradiction and reluctantly admiring her spirit’. Cruelly he said to her, ‘You are not part of our lives. In a month you will be gone from here, as good as forgotten’. She observed him and ‘found smiling he was impossible to resist’.
Kate Hewitt is a contemporary Classic romance writer whose stories are always engrossing, filled with brilliant repartee, extremely sensual and deals sensitively with emotional issues rather than with physical impairments! This story of Modern genre fulfils all that and more! Natalia and Angelos find a perfect match in each other and the reader is kept on tenterhooks till the last sentence. Marvellous indeed! 5 A*for this story without a doubt. A must buy book in any format, in this series of Billionaire’s Legacy.

Emotional, riveting, fantastic Modern genre romance! 5A*indeed !
‘Ellen had been gawping at the devastating male , six foot plus, broad- shouldered, muscled and just ludicrously good-looking. A tall dark stranger, having olive skin tones. He had sable hair and charcoal eyes, a sculpted mouth and a jaw cut from the smoothest marble. He was powerful, rich and ruthless’. Max thought that Ellen,' had the body of a goddess’. After her shopping spree she was seeing someone, she had never seen before-the strikingly, dramatically beautiful woman looking back at her from the glass. Max murmured, 'in face and in figure you are like Artemis, strong, lithe and so beautiful’. He held her gaze, not letting go for an instant. ‘To you, to beautiful Ellen. Beautiful, stunning Ellen’. ‘I want her,’ he thought to himself.
Ellen Mountford and Max Vasilikos make such an endearing couple whose love for each other builds up and causes such emotional havoc in their lives that the reader has to read about it at one go! It is another inspirational story that celebrates how love can triumph over all kinds of personal issues. There are plenty of riveting conversations /repartee as well as tenderness and passion. Passionate Romantic story indeed! 5A* undoubtedly!
Apollo the billionaire, gets attracted to a poor hairdresser with a dubious background, though he refuses to acknowledge this! Pixie has beautiful eyes, of a luminous clear- grey colour that shone like polished silver. She was tiny-doll like in figure with blonde hair. While Apollo had startlingly, bright green eyes, seemed impossibly tall, as he towered over her, with his lean, bronzed face and an elaborate tattoo peeping out of a white shirt cuff, with a personality to match! He appeared to be volatile, unconventional and arrogant. He was like his namesake, the sun god and was breathtakingly handsome. He said to her softly,’ I’m your 12 o’clock appointment’. Pixie was gobsmacked because they hated each other as they had a past history! ‘I believe that for the right price you could be the woman I marry and divorce,’ he spelt out smoothly. ‘She thought was he certifiably insane? or simply madly eccentric?’
Lynne Graham spins superb Modern genre of romanticism! All the ingredients of a love story will be found in this story. The characters are so realistic that you might want to meet them and help them along! The repartee/conversation is scintillating and witty. It is only right that that both the hero and the heroine realise the meaning of true love. Highly recommended as it deserves more than one read! A brilliant page turner to have one in any shape or form!

Emotional read, of an endearing lovable pair! 4/5 *
‘He was too handsome, too rich, too intelligent, and too sexy. Too everything. He was always on the fringe, quietly measuring the scene with his navy-blue gaze. He was built like an endurance athlete, tall and lean, his skin was tanned and had cleanly shaven skin.’ ’There was something about his intelligent eyes that always made her feel he saw more than he let on’. They had known each other from way back when and now that Cam has met her once again his gaze met Violet’s and he whispered aloud, ’You look stunning’.’His dark blue eyes held hers in a lock that made the base of her spine tingle like sherbet’.’He had changed’. ‘He had suddenly noticed her, her beautiful brown eyes, her creamy skin, her dusting of freckles that he found adorable’.’He had gone from noticing her to wanting her....as in wanting and desiring her.’
What was preventing Cam from wanting Violet and not being able to love her is something for the romantic readers to find out! There are plenty of succinct statements, sparring and wit to keep the chuckles going on in the reader’s mind. However there are too many threads that weave in and out in the writer’s plot. It has always been her style and somehow some readers get disengaged by that kind of writing style. It is quite a common strategy used by romantic writers Down Under! The story line ends happily and all’s well that ends well. Readers who love a big family and plots within plots will like this book very much!

‘But he was looking now. Her dark honey –toned skin was vibrant and silky –smooth, her high cheekbones, velvety pouting lips, a determined chin, made his breath snag somewhere in his chest’.’There was something uniquely enthralling about Goldie Beckett’s face that riveted his attention’.’Perhaps it was her eyes. Gael wasn’t sure whether they were blue, or violet, even though they currently glared at him, were absorbing enough to keep him staring’.’As for her body....she couldn’t be more than five foot five didn’t detract from her attention’.’Her laughter mocked again, deeper this time,’I’m from New Jersey, not Narnia.I don’t step through cupboards or into limos, out of naive curiosity’. A man with the face of a fallen angel, a man with a voice so hypnotic, a playboy with enigmatic eyes exuded warning bells loud enough for her to take heed’. This was their dramatic meeting the first time they confronted each other. ’Santa  cielo, you’re exquisite’.

‘They are two people who care for each other but can’t be together because of perceived insurmountable obstacles.’ From this kind of first meeting between Gael Aguilar and Goldie Beckett the plot becomes thicker and gripping, to arouse the romantic reader’s curiosity about how it will end happily!

Maya Blake as usual has crafted an entrancing story line with plenty of sarcasm, wit and humour which is one of the strategies used to make the book a page turner. It is unmissable and a beautiful story with plenty of peep into the lifestyle of billionaire tycoons which makes the reader feel good after the last line is read! Go for it ! Charming indeed!

Enthralling, emotional and dramatic ! 5A* undoubtedly!
An enthralling, saucy, sizzling, sensual love story from a Classic, contemporary inspiring writer of the Modern genre. It is always entertaining to read Lynne Graham’s stories and in particular, a two part series of ‘Christmas with a Tycoon’.
The story line of the romance is simple, focused and the repartee, conversation, dialogue between Vito a conservative Banker with a long history of heritage, education and class with Holly Clever from the opposite side of the spectrum is riveting. It shows love does not need a long span, it can happen over a short period of time or an instantaneous attraction for each other which cannot be quenched despite the barriers of class and background!
‘He yanked open the door and enormous blue eyes like velvet pansies looked up at him, although she might be very small, she was all woman.’ Holly stared up in wonderment. He looked like every fantasy male she had ever dreamt about meeting, all rolled into one spectacular package. In fact he was so gorgeous with his black hair, designer stubble and dark, deep-set, mysterious eyes’ that she didn’t think she had ever seen a more handsome man.’’ However she reckoned that there was a good chance that he was chillier than an icicle’. For Vito to look at her in the firelight it made her eyes bright as sapphires and that illuminating smile made him catch his breath in his throat’.’His rare smile flashed across his lean, strong face’. Holly,’ had a wonderfully feminine shape, amazing eyes and a torrent of dark hair that tumbled round her in luxuriant loose curls’. ‘Vito lifted his dark head. Dark golden eyes sought hers.’ ‘I want you’, he husked.’

Realistic and yet gripping, emotional Modern genre Romance! 5A*

It is an exquisite story of how an Alpha man/hero Alejandro a billionaire, can really love a woman Elise Jameson, ‘a marketing guru’! It shows all the shades of love that can be there between a man and a woman with tremendous parental issues in each of their lives! ‘His gaze to her Venus –like body and shapely legs’ had an instant impact on him. ‘Attractive. Alluring.’ He noted that, her features bore a hint of an Asian heritage, making her beauty even more enthralling’.’Shadows and questions swirled through her hazel-gold eyes’.’He gritted his teeth’. Tersely he warned her, ‘I never play tricks. I abhor subterfuge of any kind. Remember that before we go any further’. Elise found Alejandro was insanely absorbing. From the square-cut jaw to the cheekbones, to the broad shoulders, his looks and aura were overwhelming’. ‘His deep voice transmitted right through to the soles of her feet’. ‘He didn’t need to waste time on an attraction his principles wouldn’t allow him to act upon’. ‘Elise smiled. Her smile transformed her face from visually stunning to exquisitely entrancing’. To her, Alejandro was unforgivably captivating.’ Her mouth twitched, then she smiled when he asked her, I trust you had a good weekend?’It caused his breath to snag! ‘She had the potential to get under her skin.’ Yet she was captivatingly breath taking’.
The story line is simple, with no extraneous detail and so it has a rapid pace. The macho hero does deserve a woman who can show a little more flexibility in certain situations and she does. The beauty of the romance is in the quicksilver of repartee and conversation. It is far better to have emotional scars than physical ones. Excellent, genius of a writer!

Still. He exuded that intense, brooding masculinity, golden skin, the sheer strength of his forearms. His eyes would still be blue enough to rival the Hawaiian sky. Then electric.Temper,history. Fury and need’. ’All flat planes of muscle and that ridged abdomen, big and inescapably male’.

Alistair ‘was rich. Powerful. Ruthless.’ ‘Revenge was his mission’.’Retribution’. He was six-foot-four to her five-foot six’, with eyes of grey-blue ice which could become frost and ice, swirling smoke and shifting shadows’, as the mood played upon him. Clementine Scott had changed. She still had those flashing brown eyes and pertly set mouth’. He was unprepared,’for just how beautiful she had become. A beauty that snuck up on you and completely stole your breath’.’Skin that glowed, had wavy, honey-brown hair that was artfully highlighted’.’Her lips were rosy and full, the Cupid’s bow’, an enticement in itself.
Ten years later on she replies to his proposition saying, ’You’re the most obnoxious, control-freaky man’, she had ever seen. ‘I hated you ten years ago and I hate you now’. For Alistair, ’Clementine Scott was trouble in big flashing neon letters’.’And he’d better not forget it’. While for Clem .her’ priority was to keep Jamie safe’. ‘Whatever it took’.

‘She wanted to drown her sorrow in the passion even she couldn’t deny, which had ignited between them from the very first moment their eyes had met’. Piper said, ’I want you now’.’ A soft, sexy laugh escaped him’.’Then, with a wicked gleam in those devil-may –care eyes,’he did what a heartless playboy sees as the perfect opportunity’. Piper was the ‘unknown redhead who’d haunted his dreams and stalked his thoughts each day ever since’. Her ‘gorgeous green eyes continued to haunt him’. When he meets her again a couple of months later he says to her ‘Dio mio'. Just say what you have to say and leave’. ‘I’m pregnant’. Piper held her ground.
The issue is, he ‘couldn’t be a father’.’The flecks of black in the caramel-brown of his eyes, almost obliterating their colour ‘looked at her steadfastly. ’Marriage is the only option’.’He smiled a slow, seductive smile and said, ‘You might have left me once, but it will not happen again, mia cara’. ‘She’d pay the price with two words. I do.’ He couldn’t open the wounds of his past’.’She was merely a means to an end. A way to seal the deal’.
Another magical story by Rachael Thomas who can spin a story that has tremendous attractive pull for the readers who live on Modern genre or ‘ ‘Presents’ as the case may be. The characters are involved in a gripping plot that has issues which need to be resolved as there is a time factor in the storyline. The dialogue, repartee, the innuendoes used in a billionaire’s life style will be so dramatic and enjoyable. The ending is exquisite as always. Charming book to possess, to read time and time again!

Refreshingly sensational, emotional, riveting page-turner! 5A*undoubtedly!

Leandro Vialli, a multi millionaire/billionaire is attracted to Marnie Clarke, a waitress! What can the romantic at heart expect from the combustible pair who gets attracted to each other instantly? For her, who had known him for over a year, ’nothing about his lean, lithe, jaw-droppingly handsome, persona like a model from a glossy magazine’, could detract his attraction for her. ‘He exuded an air of power and charisma that sent a thrill of excitement through Marnie’.’ The steely gleam in his grey eyes told her he was furious’. While Marnie’s ,’skin was peaches and cream and her honey-blonde hair rippled halfway down her back’, still held his attention. ’Her brown eyes were soft with sensual promise’.’You are not and never will be my wife’.
‘You are my mistress’. Leandro said to her brusquely. Yet ’her blonde hair and her delectable hour-glass figure had forced him to acknowledge how much he had missed her’. She was staring at him as ‘he was so gorgeous and his grey eyes were as soft as wood smoke as he held her gaze’, while pondering what his next move would be!

Chantelle Shaw as always has mastered the art of holding on to the reader’s attention in a tight grip and will not let go of one till the very end! There is plenty of scintillating dialogue, wit, and conversation between the lovers within the framework of the storyline! The Epilogue is superb and the story will leave the romantics at heart with a good-feel-factor enticing them to read the story all over again! Charming, adventurous, stunning, Modern genre Romance ! 5A* indeed!

‘Grigor handed her icy fingers to Trina’s groom, the very daunting Mikolas Petrides.’ ’Lord he was handsome’, carved cheekbones, small cleft in the chin, and ‘his eyes were a smoky gray.’ ’Viveka was taken aback by the quiet force he emanated’. He had ‘wealth, power and looks notwithstanding’. Viveka had, ’these icy blue orbs and natural blond streaks she’d covered with the veil.’ This ensnared and captured him.
When he spoke, ‘he had an arresting voice and the velvet-and –steel-cadence of his tone held her. ’Mikolas could hardly see her face, but the intensity of blue eyes couldn’t be dimmed by a few scraps of lace’.’She was beautiful.’ ‘While, he was really good –looking.’ ‘I’m a man who gets what he wants, I want this merger’. ’Marry me in your sister’s place’.’It was utterly enthralling, to watch her parted and quivering mouth’ at this statement! To which Viveka retorted, ‘I’d rather take my chances with the sharks’. Mikolas says with flatness in his voice, ‘You already have’. ‘She had no idea whom she was dealing with’.’She might be impulsive and a complete pain in the backside, but she was perceptive’.’She should have known that there’d be a cost to his saving her life’.’Men expect things when they do you a favour ‘.’Let us be clear, the debt you owe me is the loss of a wife’.’She was not built for fair- weather frolics’. In his mind, ‘it was the authentic beauty that shone through her’.

The plot is engaging, enticing, with not much of extraneous detail, the story line flows through till the very end. There is plenty of sparring, humour and wit and their love is there for all the readers to see!
